hey i recently bought my 2004 mazda 3s...and for some reason unlike other cars when i turn the car on and turn the fan on with heat on it doesnt come on for say...10-15mins..any ideas?...it does cut on after about roughly 10-15, well after the engine is heated up. is this normal?...cant really say what the symptons are with the air on cold...bought the car when it was already chilly out.

Strangely, I had this issue 100,000 kms ago...
Brought car to the dealer for them to diagnose.. and they were going to replace the blower motor... but apparently that is a HUGE job, and they took a second look and found the problem to be the fan relay in the engine compartment was loose/making bad contact.

it's been fine ever since.


I'd check all the relays in the engine compartment fuse panel - the one by the battery. And of course any connectors that affect the system
