ABS on MP3?

LOL... I don't think it's worth the hassle to run all the wires and sensors, plus you will need to run an MSP ecu.

I don't, I know it's saved my ass several times in the winter. Plus it serves as a speed sensor as well so you can swap transmissions with the MSP and other 5-speed ABS Proteges without any hassle.

Would not having the ABS speed sensor get in the way of installing LSD into the MP3 Transmission?

I don't mean that it`s not usefull or that it doesnt do what it is supose too.. in winter it is surely helpfull. But if you know how to drive well and dont put yourelf in crazy panic situations then you can be way more acurate and way smoother with just good breaks no ABS.

the protege's ABS is over sensitive and so it sucks for any sort of performance driving... if it was like the RX-7's it would be a whole world of difference... sadly they didn't even revise the programming on the MSP except for accounting for larger wheels

based on this alone, I'll take NO ABS, thank you

I like to 3 wheel, threshold brake, etc

the ABS computer is part of the ABS pump

if the ABS had something to do with the ECU, then explain why I'm not getting any ABS lights because I'm running the MSP ECU?

althou the MSP ecu needs access to some information. remember, the MSP does not have a speed sensor at the transmission, it has it at the ABS on the wheel.

anothe rinteresting fact, even if one ABS sensor fails to opera, the ECU is capable of working with the rest of them.
another thing....with this in mind, how does the ECU knows how fast the car is moving in a corner when the inside wheels are spinning much slower than the outside wheels?
and, could there be a way of knowing the speed of every tire separately?

wow...

I dont think the ABS system on a protege is that advanced. Knowing all the tire speeds and whatnot is usualy part of a 4wd system with stability control, something that, correct me if i'm wrong, only really came about in other cars in later years.
