ABS.....have some questions regarding fuses.

THe ABS is definitely touchy in the 2. Like other's I tend to notice mine kicking in over hard bumps more than any other time. It's too bad a simple fuse pull doesn't give you the option. I'm certainly electronically/mechanically inclined, but I'm alwasy nervous doing any "modification" to the safety systems on my car. Esp up here in the snow ;-)

Wire in a switch and put on the dash. Easy. On and Off.

I also find the abs system irritating while driving fast. It's almost dangerous the way it engages.
I was in contact with a racing team in japan and they couldn't deactivate the abs too.
Racebrewer, where should we connect the switch in order to be able to deactivate the abs without deactivating the brake distribution system or the power steer system(it's the same fuse as I was told by the japs).

I screwed up when I installed the Bilsteins and didn't get the sensor wires far enough away from the wheels. Both Hall sensor wires located in the front wheels got chewed up. First one side than the other. I simply spliced in new wires to repair.

If you want to see what it does, just follow the sensor wire back under the fender liner and unplug it. You could also temporarily unplug the sensor and cable tie it to the strut for a test.

If it does what you want, splice an on-off, single pole-single throw switch into the sensor wire.

^ good info, thanks!

ABS rewiring for switch in progress. I plan to test turning both front and rear off at Gingerman this weekend. I tested the lack of ABS today and with the R4S in the front it was pretty tail happy under hard braking (but obviously was WITH abs also).
