someone said start at 14 deg advance and go up is this right. Cause im new to this tuning thing, my friends has been helping me with tuning it untill i get my new turbo and get it to a Dyno Just to break the motor in, not race it. and he retarded my timing 7 degrees at idle, and acouple degees across the board going by TP not RPM it drives like crap and wants to stall if i let off the gas to fast, i havent been driving it cause i dont have a laptop and my friend should be over tomorrow so we can work on it. So should we advance? Now i have bored 2o over and put lower compression pistons

You should start with 10deg at idle and start advancing gradually up to 28deg advanced for break-in and low boost.
I think if you reach max advancing (28deg) @ 3500rpms up to top rpm will be good enough.
