I just got back from Qatar last week. I recommend going to Doha a few times. Have someone take you to the City Center mall and the marketplace. Just don't get run over by a Lamborgini like I almost did...

If you can, go with a civilian contractor who's been there for a while, they'll know everywhere including the 'hot spots'

Yeah...2 of my supervisors from home are here over @ TMO and they are both Staff's...since only SSGTs can drive off base...i'm cool w/that. One has been here a few times and knows the spots. We def. want to hit up the indoor ski spot.
