well my car doesn't shift stiff at all...in any gear...before OR after the new shifter....
but what will happen is it takes a little more effort (force) to make the shifts....that is simple physics....you shorten the throws by changing the pivot point of the shifter in relation to the attachment point and the shift knob, not to mention make it a little shorter in length....thus your leverage is less....meaning it takes a little more force....its really quite comfortable to me though....
to me...the stock shifter felt very sloppy and took nearly NO EFFORT at all to go from one gear to another....NOW its very percise and tight feeling.
