Welcome to the site (Sir Nuke will perform the standard, ubiquitous welcome 
) and congrats on the P5.....
There are a few of us from Chicagoland. I myself am from the south suburban area (actually closer to NW Indiana, but work near Tinley/Orland Park). Most other members are in the Western or Northern or even Northwestern suburbs or sides of the City (of Chicago).
As far as working on your car, it depends what you want to do with it. We can help you out.

Thank you all for your welcoming response. I posted earlier in the 3rd generation section and (accidentally of course) it posted 4 times. The responses were crusty crusty.... so thank you for redeeming the website.
I live at Montrose/Kimball, but I am willing to travel to a trustworthy mechanic, anywhere within the Chicagoland area is great, please let me know who you've used. The car is in great shape, but just thinking ahead.
I bought the car from a guy in Michigan. It didn't come with license plate holders on the front (not necessary in Michigan)
How are the plates attached to the front of your car.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

i had my front plate ziptied to my lower gril on the front of my car...but that required me to dremel of the top lip of the licence plate and it was a perfect fit! but thats b4 the accident

Otherwise I'd recommend Roto in Arlington Heights. That'd be about a 25 mile trip so I'd think any dealer would do. Otherwise use your zip code to check other dealers at:

I'm sure the dealer would install it under warranty. Otherwise you'd have to pop out the bottom grill and drill two holes in the bumper.

Yo - I live near the Gurnee Mills Mall and Six Flags Great America (hate em both!) I have my car worked on at Speedquest Perfomance in Grayslake - excellent guys! I originally went to Driver's Image in Skokie (just like every other sporty import) but Speedquest has "da goods" now.
