Since the NOPI Nationals are coming soon, I decided to do something about the interior, it's kinda boring. I always wanted to paint the interior pieces in my car like everyone else did, but was just to lazy. So what did I do. I decided to make the work extremely difficult and cover said pieces in suede.

It'll be a few days before I finish, but here's a sample:

what do you think?

i like the suade idea but you gotta get rid of the stock HU. and maybe get some gauges in there to.

I think suede that matched the stuff on the doors of the MSP would be cool. Since I'm sure that stuff isn't real, if I were going to do this, I'd probably rip it out & use the real thing.

I like my interior just the way it is though...only thing I want is racing seats with some actual bolstering. :D

it looks cool, but i don't really feel the color. maybe if it was red ? dunno, but cool idea (thumb)

That part alone took about 3 hrs to do. I have done the plastic piece where the cup holders are already and am doing the window switches, door handles and the black plastic piece in front the gauge assembly. I might do some other pieces as well.

I thought about red but as hard as it was to find suede, it's a million times harder to find red suede that matches the exterior.

Yer the block grey colour doesn't look like a good match with the black plastic of the instrument panel...

If you went for a deep red like your paint, that would be really cool, but the black plastic will still look s****. If you are going to go for something as out there as this, you should maybe think about sourcing new instrument knobs from somewhere to match the colour scheme you are going for. Mad idea though, props to it :)

Here it is in red.

On second thoughts, i dont think you can pull the material dash off with any sort of plastic or fake/real carbon finish around it. Material goes well with woodgrain but thats about it
