A Little Knock...?

Hi everyone. I a proud owner of a 2002 used auto MP5 and I just started hearing a possible problem.
This is the problem....
every time I press the brake (the car is decelerating right before the complete stop) I hear a click or a knock. Even when I start to accelerate or hit a nice bump, sometimes even turning I hear a small knock from the front mid-left section. I even feel the knock threw my pedals. I'm not sure if this is something with the steering link or suspension or mounts.
Has anyone experienced this problem?
Can anyone diagnose the problem?
(pissed)

when u were buying it did u ask the previous owner if there was a problem with anything with the car?

Do you have an auto? is it in Sport mode when you hear this?

I had a similar sound with my 6, it was the tranny shifting into 1st gear...

no thats not good. I have an auto and it doesnt have any knock. it could be random vibration.. susp interferance... or a tranny issue/drivetrain. If it had been in an accident that would explain susp/vibration/drivetrain . tranny is a different story but u would also have frequent vibrations and shifting problems.

My car is automatic. I hear the knock very slightly. You know when you brake and your at a full stop, then you let go of the brake slightly and the brakes make a very small grind sound, well when I totally release the brakes thats when I hear the sound. The sound it a klick kinda knock sound. I'm not sure if its a tranny or motor mount, or something with the suspension.
Anyone has any suggestions?
