A good PDA cell phone?

I dont think that you will find what you're looking for. IMO, the keyboard idea is a waste. How the hell are you going to be able to type the "proper" way with those small keys? In effect it will be like having two styluses (index fingers).

I have the Audiovox Maestro PocketPC. It was $200 at the time (they don't make them anymore), has a SD slot and a, CompactFlash slot. I have a 340MB compactflash card that I regularly use to watch full length Divx movies with. You can purchase a CompactFlash card that allows PCS phone access. Not sure where though. If the only thing lacking is the keyboard, I say its not worth the wait for one. Seems pretty useless to me. I'd either write with the stylus (doesn't have to be grafitti on a PocketPC, it actually recognizes handwriting), or pack a small foldup keyboard for when you really need it.

Good luck

i would deffinatly get the Kyocera 7135 http://www.kyocera-wireless.com/7100_phone/7100_phone_series.htm
it is a CDMA phone so i would check with your Cellullar Service provider to see if it is capable. I love this phone it is awesome. I work for the Corporate office of US Cellular and i get to demo this model and its wild

THEN YOU ARE THE MAN I WANT TO TALK TO!!! :). My gf and I have had US Cellular for years now, and I love the service. Its so much better in reception than SprintPCS around here in Madison, WI. However, I always find them to be behind the game in technology. Is US Cellular EVER going to provide wireless web, or the ability to bring a connection to a laptop or PDA through the phone (the stuff that is standard now with PCS and Vision)? I like the price and reception, but christ, I'm a tech nerd and need the latest and greatest! :).

if you must get the keyboard, a real keyboard i would go with a hp jornada 720/728 with a cellular PC card.

look into it. it may work, and it seems to fit all your needs, except for the size perhaps.

That is sooo kool I am glad you like our service and all but you are correct in sying that we are behind but we deffinatly like to make sure everything is in 100% workingorder vs rushing it out and having our customers go through our "growing pains" with us .. and we are comming out with some things that no company has but i really cant say at this point ...

Well thats respectable, and I look forward to anything new US Cell might offer in the future (near future I hope :D).

Hey Kooldino,

One thing you might want to consider (depending on what use you need out of the keyboard) are these new "stand" keyboards. It's a little thumb keyboard that has a "docking station" port on top, you just jam it on the end of your phone/pda. That might open up some possiblities for you.

What about the handspring? I believe one of the treos has a built in keyboard. An I'm more partial to the PalmOS just for size, ...
