A/C dosen't get cold

Help!
My A/C won't kick on, the blower works but doesn't get cold.
When I push the A/C button it lights up but I don't hear the compressor kick on.
I've checked the fuses and they seem to be fine.
Help, and anyone had this problem.

Eather your compressor is done (pray to god it's not cause it's worth about 1000$ CND) or you just need a freeon (or however this s*** is spelt) refill. They may be using something different now days. But if you need a refill it's important to check for leaks in your lines. Most any garage can do this for you.

P.S. Dont sniff the freeon.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, god I hope it's just needs recharged.
If it's the compressor, bye bye MP3.
