Guide - Protege Timing Belt Change (How-To)

Hello, all. Would anybody be so kind as to reply and strike out those steps that aren't needed if I'm only going to replace the timing belt and tensioner spring, and nothing else? I'm cheap, lazy and a risk-taker but I'm very good at following instructions (if not at following advice)...

Yeah, but it's hard to find.

First of all, no one is trying to hide it. Secondly, the thread was probably unstickied when older Forums were merged / moved.

The thread while a great resource is no longer active or actively updated. It also contains Guides for various older Mazda models (not just Proteges) in addition to older universal Guides. Plus I believe it was sticked in a Forum that no longer exists. Given all of that, it doesn’t really fit in any one Forum now. That said it’s still highly valuable so I posted a link to it in our All Mazdas Resource section.
