Hey folks,

I just wanted to thank Allen again for his help today installing my Tein SS coilovers. It was a pretty fast install with no major bumps in the road. Well, except I didn't know the shop closed at 5:00 so the last hour was pretty rushed. Allen did very well at ignoring all my cussing and flinging of tools while finishing up the rears. lol. But, everything came out great and I must say the Teins live live up to all of the great things I've heard about them.

Sorry, no pics. My car is currently a rolling embaressment. But, at least it's a rolling embaressment on Teins. lol.

Anyhow, thanks again Allen couldn't have made it out of there on time without you there.

lol. Sorry man, I can't do it. Every time I look at my car now I wanna laugh or cry. I'm not sure. Just look at my sig and picture the ass end being lower. That's the best I can do right now. The pics from my sigs are the last ones I took before I stripped most all of the appearance mods off my car. Just give me till December. :D

I thought you had Tein's on your car already Lang? Or were they just springs or something? If so, what're you gonna do with the previous set of drops? ;)

Yeah, I had Tein SS springs. They will be for sale shortly. Actually, me and you might work out a deal for my old rear lip and a little cash for the springs depending on if you have a buyer or not. If I can find another bumper I might go back to the old set up until Midnight Customs repairs their mistakes.

Yeah man, just let me know what your actions are, and i'll probably be able to work something out. It sucks i'm not gonna be able to finish the conversion right now, but i just need to get something on my car, whether it's a simple drop, which i'm sure the Teins willl be more than simple, and some bump in the car, which my JL subs, and components will come into play. At least the sounds can be transferred to another car, if i get one up in the mainland while at school. But yeah, just PM me whenever if you want to work something out.

hey no problem lang. anytime. glad to help. i usually cuss and fit whenever installing parts too, LOL. my lower tie bar can't go on cause one of the a-arm bolts are frozen (guess i'm going to have to hit it with an impact) so that's my piece of car hell right now... hehe (screwy).

Sorry guys, I just really don't see any reason to post any pics as of right now. I'm rolling on Jarrets P5 stockers so you really don't notice the drop that much since the wheels don't fill up much of the fender. But, don't worry sooner or later I'll get some progress made on my car and then I'll post so many pics you guys will be sick of me. lol.

As of right now I don't have to roll the fenders thanks to your wheels Jarret. But, looking at it today it's obvious I'm gonna need to roll them if I ever want to fit 18's on again.

Mike, why are you griping about pics? You can come see it whenever. lol.

MmM congrats :)

while u were installing those, i was messing with my KYB's to force the fkn coilovers on... no sucess. ill bring um to the bbq, we can have a swap meet haha. btw... wheres those pics???? haha jp dude

ok i was wondering since theres a big difference in price. hows the ride compared to stock?
That's the beauty of the adjustability. It can go from almost like stock to oh my god I need a chiropractor. lol. Mine is currently set at Tein's recomended settings and its a little stiffer than stock, but so much better. The car feels so more solid and in control. That's saying a lot considering it's a MSP.

whats the difference between basic and ss?
like lang said the SS is has a 16 way adjustable strut while the basic kit is just for those that want an affordable "full coilover" setup just to raise and lower the car. IMO, if you're going to spend the money you might as well spend the extra couple hundred for the adjustability just incase, regardless if you do track racing or not it still can help in terms of street ride quality.
