R Rd02sir Member : 99 protege Nov 23, 2013 #1 My 99 1.6 pro isn't starting. I can bump start it, and it runs just fine, with no battery light, but I can't turn key to turn on. I do't hear a clicking like the solenoid is working. Where is the solenoid located? The starter is really hard to get access to. Thanks!

Any auto parts store can do it, typically without charging you a dime. Most solenoids are attached to the starter, but it may be that your battery is too weak to supply sufficient current to turn the engine.
