Hmmmm. That could be IRES, I've never driven an ITR myself but I have been a passenger in one. Just speaking from my experiences actually racing them though. Haven't lost yet to one in my GTP and beaten them quite easily even. But the driver could very well have been a major factor. There are alot of dumb kids around here that don't know what the hell they are doing. By the way, ALSO from my experience: the GTP is a NICE car. Loaded with nice stuff. BUT.... after about 75 - 80 thousand miles on it, even after EXTREME care and pampering, it becomes HIGHLY unreliable and expensive to maintain. It runs awesome, but it's hard and costly to KEEP it running that way. That is why I have ordered my new 350Z and will NEVER buy domestic again unless it is an SUV or truck. just my 2 cents worth.
just because a ITR couldn't take a GTP Supercharged."""lol""" Actually it was my bro in the 98 GTP just messing around with his pal in his ITR. we were all leaving the base gate and as you leave the gate you have to turn 75^angle as his pal in the Type-R revved his engine turning the corner my bro in his 98 GTP flew like a jet already 4carlenghs ahead but only to 80mph from the stoplight. My bro has Underdrive crank pulleys, fuel injectors, and double twin flowmasters exhaust. His GTP is running low 14's. So technically i don't know if it would be a close race stock to stock. But they were just messing around with each other. The guy in the type-R bryan had aem cai and exhaust. But as for the comment of o-60 for the GTP it is 6.6 and the type-r's 6.2sec was experienced with pro skilled drivers i say with normal drivers a type-r will do 6.6-above. same as for the GTP. it was fun though. just wanted to see if everyone would go blistic, and insane.
