'94 Protege Water Thermoswitch

I've got a '94 Protege. The cooling fan comes on when the ignition is turned on. Doesn't matter if the engine is cold or at normal operating temperature. In looking at a schematic, it appears the water thermoswitch provides the ground for the circuit for relay 2 and 3. It appears there is another water thermoswitch in the circuit for relay 1. I've unplugged each wire I could find related to the water, but the fan stays on. Can someone tell me where I could find these thermoswitches. I think one or both are stuck and causing the problem. Have replaced the relays to no avail.

you posted this in the wrong section. i have moved it to a place where you should get more viewings.

theres two sensors, one in on the stat housing and the other is close behind it. one has a grey plug and one is green. i cant remember which one is which though. look at those first
