90 mph + bushes = one f#@!^d up p5

i'm surprised at how well you are taking it, considering how much work you have put into your car. I think most people would be pissed off at themselves for doing such a thing. Cool. I like your style.

Well after almost 4 years of running a local mountain road I finally became friends with the bushes and trees. To make a long story short I lost it at about 90 and don't know how fast I was going when I went in but it was fast enough. Hey you gotta expect these kind of things when you do this kind of stuff. Plus it gave me an excuse to redo somethings on the car. Stay tuned for version 2.0 of my car, but until then take a look at the aftermath
Hence your user name.

Well going 90 on that road is about average for me on the down hill and usually peaking out at triple digits, Nutari can agree with that. Most of the guys that run that road all speed up hill but you can't go fast enough unless you have lots of power. You usually average 75-80 on the up hill, but on the down hill you gain more speed and it is more of a rush. As far as the new version of my car it's nothing crazy, all I can say is it's more towards the JDM side of things. I just had a son so I kind of need the tone it down a bit, so I bought a 99 Z28 to go fast with

dawm. idk how i missed this thread o.O sorry to read/see dude. glad u are okay though. the bomex kit, sounds, 6 vented hood, etc made your car really stand out. cant wait to see what u have in store next!
peace

well the tape you used to tape up your shattered bumper sorta matches the color of your car, so you could pull off that signal auto, bring your car into a show totalled, look.

But yeah, when you cheat death, you tend to get excited and dance, just like what i did. hahaha. glad you're safe though.

Damn, that sucks brother, but the important thing is you are okay and you have a great attitued about it.

Got a question though, Looks like your front bumper support is cut in half, was that done pre impact and did you have any kind of a replacement in there or was it just an intercooler?

Just curious as I haven't seen results of an impact of someone who cut their bumper support out on these forums and lots of people are starting to do that with the Perrin FMIC.

Yeah I had previously cut the bumper support to fit the intercooler when the car was boosted. I never got around to fixing it but now the insurance covered it so I'm good now

man, sorry to hear that, that was a nice car, cant wait to see the next version...

what front end was that?
i ahve to order a new bumper for the rear of my car cause of some blind old guy..
