8000K HID opinoins.

Anyone running a 8000K HID? I like the color but was just wondering what the light output is like.

I don't have the 8000k's, but I have the 6000ks and my friend has 8000k. Its noticably dimmer. But head to head with halogen, it's bright as hell. I would say its a bit too blue though. My other protege has 4000k, and that is way brighter than the 6000k.

I've got the 8000k's and I'm satisfied with the output. They are fairly bright and really help out in not so lit areas.

i got 10000k slightly purple but looks real nice brights up the whole road

I have 6000K TechOne kit from Protephile here on the forums.

I almost went with 7000K, then did some research about max light output and so forth. Turns out that past approximately 6000K, the light output starts to decrease, going down as your K's get higher .. not to mention that if your headlights get TOO blue/purple, you start attracting attention from cops.

I'm very, very happy with both the light output and the color of mine. Bright as hell and an awesome 'diamond' hue -- you can see both blue and purple, depending on the angle.

I have 6000K TechOne kit from Protephile here on the forums.

Protephile is an Authorized Vendor. Got my HID kit brand-new from him.

i have the 6000k ebay kit the previous owner installed.. Have a blue tint and definitely give you enough light on not-so-well lit areas

I have 8k and its perfect. The blue hint is great. Really doesnt matter if it isnt the the brightest, its bright enough. ;-)

Yeah Im not looking for the highest lumins. Just nice and bright with a good look.

How is the difficulty in installing an HID on the MSP?

Not hard at all. Most kits are simple plug and play. I know mine was and it did not take long whatsoever.
