Well, you can't have CAI and TURBO in our car at the sametime...but $7K will get you a nice turbo install, complete with new clutch and lightweight flywheel. You might have enough left over to fill the tank with gas too.

:)

1) Wings West Extreme Kit

2) $3000 awesome paint job w/ tons of clear coats

3) Spend the remainder on treating all the babes you collect... :D

7000 dollars and what to do??

If I had 7000 dollars I would in this order:

1. With 4000 cash you could if done right have the fastest Turbo MP3 in the United States.

2. Buy some Lightwieght Japanese racings wheels 17"

3. Buy some lowering springs most likely H&R

If you want a turbo kit give me a call at 407-301-6890
I work with a tuning shop called Garage Advance. Home to 750+rwhp stock bottom Supras. We are in the process of making an MP3 intercooled turbo kit using the Greddy E-Manage as the fuel computer.

Well, first thing I'd do if I were in your shoes would be to pay off the car if it isn't payed off yet. I would go for a nice Coilover kit such as Tein or JIC. Then a nice set of lightweight wheels and a carbon fiber hood. Then get yourself a nice exhaust system. Last but not least, out the rest of the money in the bank (CD), mutual fund or some kind of account that will show some kind of return with interest. Why do this, so you'll have more money for a complete turbo kit. Complete meaning engine management, clutch & flywheel, complete gauge setup. Waiting will also give you the time to see exactly what kind of gains we will gain from a turbo and if we're lucky, a company will release a low compression piston set and stronger con rods.

3 grand for a turbo setup
2.5 grand for a tec3 installed and tuned
1 grand for misc.....gauges, clutch and exhaust

and

250 for some springs
1-2 grand for some bad ass light weight wheels
600 for a carbon fiber hood

Okay so its a little over 7 grand but hey one bad ass mp3 and not that much over the budget.

and after
2 grand for some nice seats with harness's:eek:

Why can't one have a CAI and a Turbo at the same time??

A turbo system force feeds air into the intake tract, subsequently totaly replacing the intake system. The filter and intake plumbing have to be relocated infront of the turbo inlet. So CAI's that are made by companys will not work. Also headers and mostly all other performance mods will not work in conjuction with a turbo system.

So basically what you are saying that a manufactured CAI will not work with a turbo install due to space, but it can be done if customized...as in shaping the piping to make it a system that pulls in cold air from the space alloted in our cars. Correct me if I'm wrong. Is that possible? Cuz I don't see intakes located in the same place from where our CAI's pull air. Wondering why:confused: Wouldn't that help the turbo??

7 grand huh here is my suggestion. Buy a CRX si for 1500 buy a GSR motor swap for 3000 HASport mount kit for 600. ok your at what 5100 now

Buy a CRX si for 1500 buy a GSR motor swap for 3000 HASport mount kit for 600. ok your at what 5100 now. with teh remaining 2900 buy some nice rims springs and adjustable shocks along with strut bars and a 5" monster tach and you have a low 13 second car for probably 7 grand with a little change left over. Just my .02

I will second the new bike statement.

I used to have a 1991 Suzuki Katana 600, which compared to the new bikes is old and slow. But It was fast as hell as far as I was concerned.

I sold in because I am pooling my assetts to purchase a house.

After I get the house I want to look into getting a new bike.

You could spend thousands of dollars on your mp3 and never get near the acceleration of a new bike.

There's NO WAY in HELL that I could have answered that better myself.

deepcover...yeah, you could costomize the intake tubes to fit your application, ill be chopping up my injen when ever my ass gets buku bux to go turbo.

I third the suggestion for a new bike. You could dump tons of cash and still never get real power like a bike. That is why I am keeping my P5 stock. I can take my bike from about 75 RWHP up to 105 RWHP with under $2,000. Can you do that on an MP3?

Why not take the $7,000 and wait for the Mazdaspeed Turbo. Warranries can be your friend.:)
