578 Hp 2.3L turbo engine

This is a 2.3L volvo motor, but if i recall mazda, and volvo were all owned by ford right? Does anyone know if this is the same motor we have or even close. I understand this one is heavily modded but still, if i had 578 hp in my 3 it would be insane, i'd probably just spin the wheels all the time...

wow, that is a nice setup. you should write to them and ask what setup it is. great tubular manifold. that thing was red as a cooked lobster. I beleive it is same engine.

damn, nice find. I didnt see anything to search for in that video. Turbo and supercharged...thats nuts. That whole car is nuts actually.

There are a few 2.3L ford motors pushing over 500HP...the old school SOHC Pinto motors...

I'd just like a 500hp motor. I've never owned anything over 300...and the highest HP motor I've had is in the woody (~270hp at the flywheel)

why so you can have twice the weight? Think about a 500 Hp car uner 2500lbs......

That Volvo must weigh next to nothing. I didn't check the stats on the site, but there is nothing in it at all. It is also about 1" off the ground. It is just absolutely sick. The sound is unreal as well.

It weights 1050 kg which is about 2300 LBS.

with the money it would take to make a near 600hp 2.3 liter, i could go buy a tt supra and make 1000hp easily. its cool, but pointless as hell.
