: ** 50 Watt ** Xtec 6000K Installed w/ Pics! -Velocity Red Mazda 3 Hatch

Ok, so a few days ago I ordered a pair of Xtec 35watt 6000k HID Upgrade bulbs....

THIS is what I actually got!!! 50 WATTS

And the box came with these H7 bulbs too! (for apartently no reason... since our high beams are 9005 and our fogs are h11s)

I've already got them completely installed! 8) Big Huge thanks to M3-GT on mazda3forums.com and his walk though!!

I installed my Nokya H11 Yellow fog lights at the same time to go with my yellow rock blocker fogs, but when they were turned on for awhile I started to see the rockblocker overlays smolder. The smoke really lit up by the HIDs above the fogs!! SO, most of my pics don't have them turned on. Oh well.

I can't say this was a problem free install... My passenger side Xtec light seems to flicker, or sometimes not stay on more than 10 seconds(about 1 in 5 times it completely shuts off). Maybe it's a problem with the ignighter?? I'll send an e-mail to M3-GT(Xenon Expert) and xtecusa to figure this out... But when they're on, they're beautiful!! and bright as hell even in the daytime!

The passenger side seems to be defective, xtecusa suggested a better wiring relay could solve the problem. I'm going to go to a local stereo shop and pick one up today.

Well, I got them at a great deal because it was a mistake in shpping... I was suppose to get the regular 35 watt kit... which is $350 at xenonexpert.com

I only see the $350 Xtec 35 watt 5000k and 6000k kits, where is the 50 watt kit? I looked through the entire site, and there isn't any 50 Xtec's listed.(boom01)

You have to e-mail them on their contact page. They can special order 100's of options, but they only stock a few.

edit: found their e-mail for you. Tell them Nate sent you, I don't get anything for this, but it helps in my not willing to trade the kit back for a 35 watt kit.

The reason why this is happening is the film cant withstand the upgraded lights especially when the car is not in motion. They are too hot. There was a mention of this on the other mazda forum.
