I was thinking about a suggestion of putting a 50 shot of nos in my car. Tell me anything, experiences (good or bad). What brand is the best, worst, whatever. Thanks a lot

another hawaii person haha co.Ol. sorry dont know anythin bout nos heh peace - chris

NOS is a company, and i belive they make dry kits.... nitrous express makes a good wet kit for our car, 35,50,75 hp jets. i plan on getting it soon... and welcome to the site :D

Stay away from dry kits. That is all.

R.I.P. My 1st engine... :( Someone pour out some liquor.....

so sorry, but i dont remember what makes it wet or dry, all i know is a little 50hp boost would be niiiice...maybe even 35

Dry Shot=nitrous shot into your intake piping, before the throttle body to mix with the air, possibly making inconsistant mixtures in each cylinder.

Wet Shot=nitrous shot directly into your intake manifold with fuel into each intake track after the throttle bodie. Your manifold will have to be drilled and tapped for each nitrous/fuel jet.

isnt it expensive to install wet? and if u wanna take it out later, u gotta buy a new manifold? sorry dont know anything :P - chris

Its about the same price for either kit actually. Personally, i've seen too many engines go cause the driver decided to get cocky and up his shot. Save that 4-500 and put it towards a turbo, much better investment.
Oh and if you are fairly competent about your engine, you can install a N20 kit in a few hours. Or you can pay someone $150 to do it for you...

Kinda spooky

Nah, I really don't know guys, I would want a turbo, but team pro5 is about to get a wave of turbos. A lot of the members are planning to be turboed. I would love a turbo because Dave and I did a lot with the P5 motor, so I kinda have an idea of what is involved. I was thinking of doing something different though. However, I need something a little less maintanence where I could still have fun here and there. I have an idea why not to run a dry setup but don't know enough about NOS in general. I wouldn't be using it all the time, maybe once or twice a week. Would it be safe to run a wet shot though?

Thanks, Lanson

yo, if u are really serious, my friend has a NOS kit for sale, for like 300/400 or so with full set up. only used twice? just pm me or leave me a note and i can call him up and get more info for u peace - chris

keola everything discussed in linuxs' thread about breaking a rod will take effect here. do it right and get the bottom end done.;)

rod and piston upgrade. in other words that will be the only two components you would REPLACE FROM THE STOCK ONES. the rest is misc gaskets, seals, bearings etc. from the mazda dealer in stock form.

hey keola/808 people. 300$ obo, dry, single port/injector with purge kit. 60 shot i think. the brand is NOS. used once or twice on a civic before. let me know peace - chris
