Earlier this month the Toronto Protege Club hosted the Second Annual Meeting of Mazdas --> MOM 2004.

The goal of this meet was to gather Mazda enthusiasts and to have a great time.

Not only did this year come off even better than last, we saw over 140 cars and about 200 people in attendance.

We were also blessed with the participation of a variety of dealerships, vendors and retailers. They brought with them a variety of sponsored cars and prizes. Some of them also sponsored the our awards.

we had 50 proteges gathered in one spot, 15 Mazda3s, along with about 30 miatas and a good mixture of MX3s, MX6s, RX7s, RX8s and even a Tribute and MPV.

We have gathered a huge collection of photos...so 56K death here we come.

yea....if i had been paying attention and realized it was happening NEPOC woulda been up this year...

I actually tried this past spring to organize a similar group of all mazda owners for the new england area but to no avail....the miata owners were largely content with their massive miata only clubs, mazda 3s and 6s dont seem to want to hang with the proteges and rx7club.com members are hit or miss sine 90% of the new england owners dont post on the forums there but just lurk so you never know who is gonna show...we did have fun hangin out with some RX8s though.

At any rate will you do another meet in the spring/early summer next year or is this a once a year thing?

ill look forward to it next year as long as I still have my car :)

We will be doing this again next year at around the same time. I believe we actually had a few represent the US at this event. It was a nice surprise...and we would love to see more.

Organizing various clubs together is tough... we had a "not so great" showing from the MX3s, MX6s and RX7/8s. But...in the end...what can you do.

im assuming its a smoke machine....the ultimate compliment to any mean looking ride..(naughty)

btw, that silver ES with.....mazda 3 17s? = hott

So many people at the event thought the car was really on fire...I think heard someone say "grab your fire extunguisher". lol.... DRY ICE machine.

is it just dry ice? or is it a smoke machine using dry ice? is that all smoke machines use? lemme see some pics of it!

Not even DRY ICE. It was one of those "fog" machines, used by many DJs etc. It uses some kind of liquid to produce the fogging effect, I can't think of the name right now. (shrug)

Edit: I did a quick search and found this, this is EXACTLY what he was using plugged into an inverter. http://www.gotfog.com/fog_machine_how.html
