4spd Activcematic issues

Hey everyone, just picked up an 03 and just noticed i can't engage the sportshift, in the M position it still stays in drive. And with the headlights on i get all the dash lights but no lights on the shifter column so possible electrical issue? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks
