Well as i said before i havent broke anything yet. when you build your car or engine you need to know what exactly do you want to have and do and what for you from it. I went with a 35R turbo which produces more power from mid to top end putting less stress to the gears, lsd and other engine and car components, people using smaller turbos they are blowing up gears, lsds and engines. Having a fast spooling turbo give you instant responds but they run out of air up top where the fun is at and not forgeting the amount of stress you are putting to the mentioned components. I think what you really need to do is plan what you want and use the right components like i said before as long as you spin some tires you wont have problems, i really dont have issues launching or racing from a dig even tho i launch at 26 PSI and im not using good tires at all and my launching is perfect basically because i know how to play with the clutch when its needed i just need to keep my car on street tires to prevent breakage very simple. AWD Systems are more flagile when launching ive seen people with Stis and Evos Launching at 6-7k rpm and snapping basically everything from axles, to Clucthsand Differentials i must say lauching is a matter of a driver thing.
