Sup guys and gals....Finally installed my rims today... I am happy i bought them, i thought at first that i made a mistake cause of the whole offset thing, they were just sitting there in my gargage for months. With the fenders grinded off the rims sit perfect. I could see where people get their arguement from (with the rear tires rubbing) but that is not the case if you are at stock height....so yes some of you guys were right, but maybe if you have about 3 people in the back. Anyway, i am happy, i know this has to be one of the baddest motegi rims out there...i love them...(2thumbs)

Drop: Sportlines
Rim: 17" Motegi Dp10
Tire: Toyo Proxes 4

lookin good. generally you really only have to worry about the offset if it's cutting it close when you take hard turns or lower the car or have like 3 or 4 people in it. nice. but aren't motegi's usually heavy?

Thanks. These feel about the same as stock...if they do weigh more it is only by about 2 to 3 pounds....i dont think 12 pounds is going to matter much, it is not a track car. i am hoping the exhaust i want to get should even the loss out :)

40+ will work too, that's what I have. It depends on what type of wheel you get. I don't think it'll work with a multi-piece wheel, only one piece. With my coilovers slammed all the way down, I can tuck 205/40/17 but rub with 215/40/17.

Single piece and multi piece have absolutely nothing to do with it...40mm offset is just that no matter how you look at it.The design of the wheel does not play a factor at all...Tire size will make a difference though.

i'm on +42 and i want to go +40 real bad... just need to self roll the fenders and stay on 205's but +42's could still be good with 215's and a slight fender roll

edit: this is with ground control coilovers all the way down... and i don't rub

so when are you selling me your Racing Harts?

The rims have rash....it is because my old house use to be at the end of a gravel road...there is barely no tread on the tires....an offer....

4-luggers offer more room in the wheel well for some reason. we can get away with 40mm offset

how can i do that? im rubbin in the rear with my 43+offset.

ok fist off i can't be responsible if ther are any messups because i told a friend how to do it and he was hasty and now he's kinda pissed...

dam i wish i had camera and my car so i could just do it to mne and show you...

ok get a channel lock or something of the sort like a plier (not needlenose) and something soft, i used an old wallet on my buddies car. remove the wheel and place the soft object on the outside of the fender. then take the channel lock and lock it down so sandwitch the soft pbject and the fender together, then as you're doing this push so that the inside lip of the fender rolls up, this will be good for about 1/2 inch of the fender, repeat this a bajillion more times and you got yourself some rolled fenders...
