4/26/08 OAC All Mazda Event Mazda Thunder II Louisville, KY

We have had locally planned meets in the past. OAC was just wanting to plan one in our area. This is not a problem either.

You say we need to be more organized and have more meets locally, your join date is Feb 2008. We had two meets in December and a couple more right before then. We will have more meets.

Please check out the stickies from time to time as any local meets will be stickied.

Yeah sleeper not sure how it worked not in the club yet. What I gathered from their website that there is a handful of local members. Whether or not that leaves planning of events to the national chapter is beyond my knowledge. But we could use a more active local chapter. Maybe that can change.

Don't get me wrong, OAC is more than welcome to plan a meet wheresoever they please. Also, I did see that there were some local meets earlier in the year. But if we were more organized (phone tree, e-mail list, and more local interest), we could have pulled today off without OAC. Sure, it would have been a smaller meet, but it still would have been fun.

So, when's the next local meet, and what can I do to help? Maybe we could have a mod day, if we could get the right facility.

The OAC is always looking for meet planners in your area. Our current meet planner runs his own club which is www.Active-Trend.com and is a well put together club but he is so busy.

If anyone is interested in becoming a meet planner is your area for the OAC then please visit www.oacmazdaclub.com and send us an e-mail. Or you can just PM me as well. We just want the Great Lakes region to plan meets and have a fun summer! There are perks to joining the club as well as flyers for the meets you organize and such.

Visit our forums and you will see how organized we are and how many meets we have planned http://themazdaforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=59

why are they the ones planning this meet (no offense intended in the slightest---just a poor reflection of our own local interest)?

No offense taken at all :) We are trying to spike interest in your area and last year's Mazda Thunder seemed to help so we wanted to kick it off right.

I don't mind helping out, but I don't want to step on anybody's toes. Is the current guy looking for help?
