3rd gear grind?

:
2002 P5, 1978 F250
Whenever I take 2nd up to near redline and shift into 3rd, I can hear it take a second to mesh or whatever before I even take the clutch out. It is a similar sound/feeling to grinding the gear but I know I am not letting the clutch out too soon. I just drove around the block again tonight and I could hear it louder because it was quiet outside. Any suggestions? Do far I need new rotors, but what else can I add to the list ? :(

sounds like your syncros dude. Mine use to grind slightly if i shifted fast over 4500.

What would you recoomend I do? tell the dealership to almost redline and shift? I dont want those monkeys driving my car fast... plus with all the modifications in my engine bay they might say I ****** it up myself.. only real mods to the engine other than hoses are the intake and coolant catch can and sparkco wires.,.

EDIT: can they check the synchros without driving it?

put your stock intake back on and take it to your dealer. They ae gonna try and give you s***, take them for a drive and show htem the problem. I had mine replaced around 15,000. It is probally your driving habbits.

To put the stock intake on I will also need to put the stock coolant catch can and thats a b****.. and I have a braided hose for the radiator that I refuse to take off because it was a b**** to get on...

Dreeza, please link me... :)

you dont have to, but if your dealer gives you s*** and wont fix your tranny, it is gonna cost big $$$.
