3D Carbon Kit Install Pics

Excellent write up and it looks great! I'm not a bodykit person usually, but I really like the look of this one.

any updates with your car? new wheels on etc? pics please

Well, I just changed Laptops and I left most of my pics on the old drive, I need to update my collection with a more recent photo-shoot, here is one I dug up from a recent Autocross this one is in race trim with the Kosai wheels:

I have recently tinted the headlights and taillights permanently, before I had cling tint film but a high pressure carwash finally blew one off so I went with a more permanent solution, here is a preview pic I took during the work:

I will update soon with more recent pics.

Looks like you also painted your fog light bezels black. I did this a while ago and it really makes the front of the Mazda2 look a lot better especially when you are running black wheels.

How much did you spend in the kit? And in that autocross, are you lowered?
It was long enough ago not that I cannot find my actual receipts, but it was around $1200 painted and shipped.

The car is currently lowered, details are in my signature belowI am thinking I need more spring rate and maybe slightly more lowering to help the response, however it is my daily driver so it has to remain somewhat family friendly.

When I pick up the body kit (some day it will happen), I think I'm going to go with the black kit on my white car. I think I'll like the contrast.

White with black kit looks great. I know. I have it. :) Not that you'd know since i have zero photos up. :) I get great deals on the 3D Carbon kit by the way. Just sayin'.

So Im curious, you compete in Autocross. Did the kit make that easier or more difficult. I wasnt really sure about adding extra weight. Also the side skirts look like they would keep the salt and sand off of the side of car more effectively for me in the winter. Do you find that is true when you drive thru water?

I was thinking of getting the front spoiler only, the Canadian oem Touring has the skirts and rear spoiler.

I may get it painted liquid alum and black :)
