I have a 1992 323f(astina) with a 1.6 sohc 16 valve carbed engine. I was having cooling problems and i found a crack in the wall of cylinder 2 which means i need a new block. Now I know a guy near me who has a mk1 MX-5 breaker with a 1.6 engine. I know the bore stroke and capacity of both these engines is the same but will the block from the mx-5 (miata) work with the cylinder head i have?

hi my mums 2001 mazda 323f sport.. abs light and the 2 TCS plus the little red handbrake light all came on at same time! its had new disks and pads all round plus a new front driver side caliper aswell any ideas?? :/

Not sure what engines you have over there but the 1.6 miata is direct replacement for the 1.6 323 in its long block form. Though depending on the years the cranks and oil pumps are different as the fixed the shearing crank bolt problem in 91~92.
