30K To Spend On a New Car

is this cash,or are you going for a auto loan?
I ask because if it's a loan, then you have to get the car from a lot.

Hey, unless you've got deep pockets...save a good percent of that money and invest it in something that won't depreciate exponentially in 5 years...such as a house. If you truly need a new set of wheels, buy something that you can be happy with, but don't break the bank. Just a thought.

30k for a car, if you already have a fun perky car, why bother getting another? Go get a used Lexus LS430 or a used Mercedes.

hey thanks for all the replies. to answer a few questions. this 30k is in cash, to be handed over to whomever i get the car from. i dont already have a 'fun' car, just my protege, gets me here and there. i already have a large sum of money invested in some place safe...so this 30K ive set aside is strictly for the new car.

thanks again for the replies, ill look into these new ideas tonight. any reason one would outweigh the other? i would have to agree about the classiness of the ms6 over an sti/wrx. thanks again!

my only problem with buyin a used performance car is that you can pretty much say that the car's been driven hard...right? i mean why would someone buy a sports car and drive it like a town and country? im not too into the idea of having a pre-broken in car again.

You want "clasiness" and are considering a Subaru? Then get the Legacy GT! (I know some people have already mentioned it and I can vouch for it...got out of my MSP and into a 05 Legacy GT) Magazine-reviewers call the Legacy "what a WRX grows up to be". It's a de-tuned STi (but easily fixable to even greater numbers) with many more of the 'luxury' items a 30K car should have.

Either the Legacy or get an Evo (whoa, my pants are tight!). :D

I would have to agree with either:
Fun, but "more mature??"

Legacy GT or Mazdaspeed6

More fun (less mature??)

WRX or Evo.

Don't take either of those comments the wrong way. If I had that laying around, I would pay off my MSP and get a daily driver like a P5 or Tribute...and pay off bills, save some more for the investments or something...
