Miles are adding up too quick. Hitting 30k this week on a 2014 Mazda 6 purchased last April. Anyhow, dealer is telling me it's due for decarb. Sound right? Is if even helpful? I have noticed a drop in performance. Feels like I have to punch the gas to get the same acceleration as before. Car feels sluggish. Ideas?

Go to wal-mart or any auto parts store and buy a can of sea foam. Works great. I do this about every 7500 to 10k miles on my 2014 6. Haven't had any issues

I'm at 40k on my 2014 and have noticed no performance decrease. The dealer probably wants your $$$.

It's highly unlikely to need to be decarbonized unless it has a running fault of some kind. This would almost certainly throw an error code.

I would not pay for such a service without direct and obvious evidence that it needed it (and I would want to find out why it was happening to prevent re-occurrence).

Skyactiv engines are not know for building up carbon.
