3" SS S-pipe Replacement!!!

you could get it jet hot coated - www.jet-hot.com . i didn't really look more in-depth, but i'm sure there are smaller companies that do it also. pricewise, they quoted me 95+ship to coat my msp exhaust manifold w/ the silver 1300 degree.

I would love to get my mani and spipe jet hot coated but you have to be without a car for a few days which sucks.

true, but i'm in college right now at the university of texas at austin, and parking for the year is 800 bucks for an open lot on the outskirts of downtown...so the car stays at home during the week anyways.

my pops doesn't like me doin stuff to my car, but i think i could talk him into having this be a 'christmas gift' - get my hardpipes and mani hot coated.

he's got a 67 corvette stingray, and he might want to get some engine pieces on that hot coated also, so i'm hoping for the best...

definitely interested in a coated s-pipe replacement and a mani whenever one comes out.

how long would they need the S-pipe and J-pipe? i might be willing to do this only if it would be 3"....with a seperated wastegate path...

This is what one of their other downpipes look like. 3" with separated wastegate path. I would think it would be the same if they made one for us.

yeah, i know what that one looks like, it is the one i am thinking about buying...just wanted to confirm what the deal would be contingent upon if i gave up my S-pipe and J-pipe

also, i would want mine free...:)

I have been talking to the same guys! I told them that I'd try to find someone to lend their s-pipe and j-pipe for the project, and possibly a car for fitment. I tried to stress the fact that they won't be able to go just by the s-pipe. The will need a car to see the clearances, and will possibly need to make it an s-pipe/j-pipe combo for best design.

********** offered a spipe for the project. spooled, if you feel you can do this better than i can because im barely able to get online lately because im moving and gf and such then go right ahead. i just saw an opportunity for a nice inexpensive part. lemme know.

I'm in cincy and I can give up my car for a month but only if I'm getting something good out of it. If they could do S and Mid pipes they can have the car for 30 days. Who have you been talking to? PM Me.

As soon as I get a reply back fro mthese guys again about where they are located, I'll ask for alist of people who are willing to donate their car for fitment. I'm sure that it will be a few scheduled appointments rather than leaving it with them for along period of time. I will let you guys know the details as soon as I get them.

i've got my stock j-pipe they can use. it was only on the car for about 500 miles and it's been in storage ever since

not to thread jack but i spoke with someone from corksport on wedensday of last week and on friday or this coming monday they are supposed to be test fitting thier s-pipe replacement. I don't know how accurate this is because we all know how companies like to talk but I think it should be done soon.

They told me that a million years ago when I bought my corksport exhaust... maybe it's true this time? They aren't answering my emails.

Just send an email to sales@ssautochrome.com and mention that you heard that they need a MazdaSpeed Protege to develop a down-pipe. I think they are looking for one ASAP. They could tell you the timing better than I, though. I'm just the one trying to get the right people together.

Oh, and let us know if it will work out for you.
