Because that's the proper way to do it, so it doesn't cause glare to oncoming traffic and the beam pattern is better. That's the whole reason why there's a big market for these things. Although, to be fair, the stock halogen projectors seem to be OK for the most part on the 6.
The MS6 headlights are a good idea, but they are like $500 a pair on ebay, plus those hid projectors aren't the best.
Your reasons are justifiable. All I'm saying is, although it might be a more proper way to do it, financially it's a bit unreasonable. The MS6 headlights would work, but for $500 I agree it's a bit pricey. The projectors look good from what I've seen in mine so far, and seeing others with upgraded bulbs they seem to work fine. Just remember, align them before you take it out, and you should be all good.
