Because that's the proper way to do it, so it doesn't cause glare to oncoming traffic and the beam pattern is better. That's the whole reason why there's a big market for these things. Although, to be fair, the stock halogen projectors seem to be OK for the most part on the 6.

The MS6 headlights are a good idea, but they are like $500 a pair on ebay, plus those hid projectors aren't the best.

Your reasons are justifiable. All I'm saying is, although it might be a more proper way to do it, financially it's a bit unreasonable. The MS6 headlights would work, but for $500 I agree it's a bit pricey. The projectors look good from what I've seen in mine so far, and seeing others with upgraded bulbs they seem to work fine. Just remember, align them before you take it out, and you should be all good.

I heard that anti-glare mod makes a big difference. As long as you got the 35 Watt kit, and you do that, it should be ok. It's not going to look as good as OEM, but should be good enough and not blind anyone.

so i was trying to get the HID kits installed. But it looks like the harness that came with the kit is not going to work with the car. Has anyone ran into this problem? If so what did you have to do?

Pics? What do you mean the harness doesn't work? Who did you order from and did you specify what headlights you had?

well heres the story. I got it from therpmstore. I also got the extra harness. Will i actually need to use that harness or do i just need the ballast and the lights??

Alright, so i got the kit installed and working. I also did the anti-glare mod. I just have one more question. I used the factory harness to power the bulbs. I have heard that this might cause the harness to burn after time. Has anyone here been using the factory harness for a while without any problems? Or does everyone use an aftermarket harness.

Did you get the 35w or 55w kit? HIDs require less power, so you should be fine. Even with the 55w kit, you should be pulling now more voltage then the factory bulbs, since the factory incandescents are 55w. I'm not sure if the current draw is any different, but I don't suspect it is.

i might have to aim the HIDs better. Does anyone have a pic of the the "Ideal" aiming/beam pattern?
