3.5 Mazdaspeed Protege
I have about 50K miles on my MSP and as we all know, the finish on the pedals starts to wear off. To me this is no big deal and is expected to happen.

I noticed the other day that I have actually worn all the way through the metal on my clutch pedal on the left side. Has any one else had this problem?

I have 29K on my 03.5 MSP, and the clutch pedal looks bad. Half of the mazdaspeed is wearing away, the rubber pieces are also wearing.

The rubber grips have worn out but the metal is actually worn through. Just along the edge. It looks almost like a crack since it wore through along the left edge. Kind of lame. The metal must be rather soft.

I can't really get pics too easily. I will try and get some soon.

I have actually worn through the pedal not just the rubber or the MAZDASPEED logo.

mine were worn through when i bought the car with 15k miles on it. I'm getting some nice sparco replacements though!

Dealer? My fact warranty is almost dead but I have an extended warranty.

If you are talking about mine. I don't really do either, and the car has never seen a winter... I am not sure what the deal is...

Nope, mine are worse. I really need to get a picture.

You see along the left side wher there is a lot of wear on the finish?

I have worn through the metal. All the way through the cover, if you took it off you could see through it. I have 50K miles on the car.

mine are wearing a bit as well. The old winter boots don't help any. The ones on my mp3 were worn pretty bad when I traded it in.

I just looked at mine yesterday when I cleaned the interior. I guess I drive on the highway a lot because all three pedals look new after 50,000 miles.
