Ok guys, I've read most of the hundreds of posts on this issue so hold your self back and just hear me out. I'm the second owner of this car, bought from a wholesaler, no clue if was driven hard or if the LSD was replaced. Obviously this car as an issue with the LSD. I'm getting a slight jitter under lower acceleration in 1st. Not under hard accel just light accel and only in first. I changed the tranny fluid w/ synth, but still got the prob. Is my diff ready to go or what maybe 1st is bad? This is a 2000.5 with 46k. If its the diff then whats the best option, this is going to be a daily driver.
Lets get some honest, useful feedback, if your going to tell me to do a search I'm gonna come find you because I've read all I can about this damn LSD.

Check your motor mounts. Ripped or torn mounts will allow even more movement of the engine and might be the cause of your situation. You can fairly easily observe the condition of your side mount, front mount, and trans mount by looking in to the engine bay. The rear mount you'll need to observe from below. Check your exhaust hangers and make sure that they are still intact as well.

Don't assume its your LSD just because you've read about it being a problem for some MSP owners.

Yeah, might just be clutch chatter. Seems to happen with the stock clutch when it's really cold outside. Diff usually does not give warning before it breaks.

Great input guys thanks! I know for a fact one exhaust hanger is snapped, the motormounts got to be bad and the more I drive her the more it feels like clutch chatter. I'm actually learning to drive around it, its just scary getting that jolt knowing the problems with the diff this car has had. As preventative measure how and what does the "welded LSD" do? How do you do it? what does it change ya know?

Thanks-

btw, does anyone keep track of how many SE-R they smoke? They seem to be drawn to our cars in traffic, they get close enough to read Mazdaspeed, then shortly after they only see tail lights...
