so this dyno was taken w/ a cracked turbo manifold, possibly dp too, the injen cai w/ the 2" reducer for the stock turbo, stock maf, plugs gapped at .028, and a dirty filter that wasn't cleaned for 40k miles....
since then i got the mani and dp tig welded, cut off the 2.25 in reducer on the cai (now running a 3" short ram), got rid of the maf, running .025 gapped plugs, and cleaned the air filter and i must say WOW. The car feels amazing, especially top end. i'm not sure what helped the most but whatever it is, i'm glad i did it.
when i used to race my buddy's modded 350z i pulled all my distance on him in 3rd gear, and stopped pulling in top of 4th and 5th. if anything he might have pulled a lil on me in 5th. (edit: i pulled on him about 2 cars)
but now i pull on him in 3rd, 4th, and 5th and jus walk away from him. the topend of my car got soooo much better.
the crazy thing is his car got faster too and yet i still pull away. we found out his car was running in limp mode w/ a faulty o2 sensor when we raced before. Since then, he's fixed that and his car has run much stronger. In comparison.... He lost to a stage 2 SRT-4 by 4-5 cars w/ the CEL, and last night he beat that same SRT-4 but now w/ cams by 1 car. although they went from different speed in both races, it shows how much stronger his car is running now.
i never realized how such little things could make such a big difference.
