Somehow, I fear you've missed the whole point of the "LeMons" concept on this build LOL. I also forsee a number of penalty laps in your future with that much "bling" under the car.
Beleive it or not, I'm still within budget. I have about $50 left to spend and I haven't sold off any parts yet. Furthermore, I have documented proof of how much was spent and we also have Wayne who has no problem convincing the judges. The last car had Koni's and GC coilovers.
Why paint the headlights..?
The ToDo list is getting shorter and shorter. At this time, if I were to install the seat, steering wheel, wheels, and dial in the suspension, the car would be raceable. Electrical is done, the brakes are done (Carbotech XP10 in the front and Hawk HP+ in the rear), etc. This weekend, I'll be dialing in the weight and alignment, as well as changing the oil. One more trip to the junker is in order as well for a few odds and ends. Furthermore, the tires (Falken Azenis RT-615) will be mounted Friday.
In all, we depart in a week and all is well. While working on the car this week, I took a quick look at it and thought "this thing will be hauling ass on a race track in just a few days" and got pretty pumped about the event. Wish us luck!
i wanna do this at some point in my life
The car looks great, best of luck!
What do you usually use for bribery? Maker's Mark is my weapon of choice.
