235/35/19 on 19x8.5 45offset

I was hoping to squeeze some 19" wheels on my sp3. The car will be on h&r sport springs. The wheel is 19x8.5 45 offset and I was thinking 235/35/19 or 225/35/19 if needed. Any chance this will work without rubbing? There are a ton of wheel/offset threads but I figure rather than hijack someone elses I'd add to the pile since hijacking seems to be real unpopular.
If you think it will rub tell me where pls and what offset you think I would need to make a 19" work.

Any help would be appreciated

If you could find a 225/40/19 it would work better. With a 8.5" wide wheel and a 225/40 it would be stretched a lot as well as a b**** to mount and balance, but it would work better. If I remember correctly, H&R springs offer a pretty good drop, which looks good but doesnt go well when you are trying not to rub.

Honestly, though, I wouldnt get these size wheels. My wheels stick out .3" farther than stock and if I were a tad lower, in hard cornering, I would rub. With this setup, your wheels would stick out .7" thus kicking up rocks/debris on the side of your car as well as rub (since they are taller too). Maybe if you could get the offset in the 50mm range then you would be ok, but not this.

There is only one user running 8.5" wheels, and they are such a close fit that you couldn't get a credit card between the strut and the wheel. That was on an 18" Wedsport.

19's are a great idea for the "look", so I definitely support you on trying to make it work. BUT, you're going to run into a lot of clearance issues with 8.5" wheels.

I think you'll run into serous issues alone with the 45mm offset, which is good for a lot of cars but not ours. The Wedsport owner runs a very high offset. I'll hunt down the thread and post a link for you.

I wanted the Tenzo DC-5. Anyone have a clue on this? I should be clearing the shock but I guess Ill be under the fender in the rear?

I think you could do it with a 7.5", but no way on an 8.5". Not with that offset, anyway.

Even the 7.5" may rub, but then again, when you drop the car, the wheels camber in, and they may just happen to clear. I bet it would be close enough that you couldn't put your pinkie finger in between the fender and the tire.

A little fender love would fix that.
