215MPH RX-7 Crash

yow, needs more downforce i would say

I was thinking that maybe downforce was the culprit. It looks like at one point the Front Passenger side starts to dip down, like there is uneven downforce, or too much on that side, then it spins, then airborne. Not sure, considering I dont know a whole hell of a lot about downforce in suce extreme applications.

it's a good thing that parachute came out in time, or his car would've been trashed!

Ah yes. The FD crash. The FD body produces a lift on the front end around 210mph. It's really hard to counter that with the body style.

All I can say is thank God for Roll cages....looked like the driver probably just walked away with some very wet shorts!

FYI, the car was actually rebuilt. If I had the link, I'd post it.

well it could have been way worse. i think that damage is actually mild compared to most fd traffic accidents. i saw a red fd one day that flipped over and the roof was flattened
