215/45 16 on OEM rims?!

I hate to be a dick, man.... but there are like 80000 threads on tires on this forum. The same link for an online fit guide has got to be in at least 3/4 of them. Use the search button.

what about you buy my fd rx-7 rims with 225/45/16 tires. 8inch wide rims. tires were used 1/2 summer. paid 500 for the tires and about 300$ for the rims.

Instead of starting another thread, hijack!

Will 205/45/17 fit on a p5 with full msp spring struts setup?

^^ i always find funny when people post questions like that. Thats telling us nothing at all. It all depends on you rims specs(width, offset). MSP run 215/45/17 if i remember and yes they fit perfectly. Now their rims are 7inch wide with probably a offest higher than 45 sooo if i had to give you an answer with only those info, i would say yes loll.

I'm running oem p5 16's now. I see a good deal on oem mazda 17's (3 or 6), and on 205/45/17 hankook v12's. Will those tires fit my car with msp setup on oem mazda 17's?

Better? :D

My other choice is buying re760's for the p5 16's in 205/50/16. In the end, they's both cost about the same. Which would provide better performance? I like the idea of 17's as it opens up tire options, but there may be a weight penalty.

you choose. if you want 17 then go with mazda 3 rims(not mazda 6 i think they look boring). Why do you want performance tires?

get some springs instead.

Because I'm going for performance, not looks. I (almost) couldn't care less how it look, as long as it functions how I want.

On one hand I'm not sure the 17's will be better, on the other they open up so many good tire options (and yes, they look better). I can get better 17in tires for less than 16in, it's weird.

I am glad to see people took a liking to my post (drinks)

BTW, are the stock 2003.5 OEM rims +40mm offset? Also, what is the width?

When I meant by, will they fit, was really "Will safely fit"? I think that is a more appropriate question. I don't want the bead to pop off mid-turn, you know what I mean. ;)

they are probably +50 or stg near that and like 6 inch wide. 215 is pushing it IMO because your tires will look fat. but you can do it. 205/45 or 50 would be good.

The thing is, is that I have 205/50 on right now. I just installed Tokico Illuminas and I want a little wider contact patch, you know.
