2025 Mazda CX-5 Front and Rear Foglight Retrofit

Hello,

I hope everyone is alright. I am not new to Mazda, but I am totally new to Mazda's customization. I was wondering if anyone knows and can confirm if the Mazda CX-5 2022 and onwards is prewired for rear and front fog lights.

Living in Germany for 14 years has given me a new appreciation for how helpful rear fog lights are and how safe they can make you in foggy situations.

Planning to buy the following fog lights

I think they look fantastic. and It really makes the car pop.

The part numbers that I will need so far are
KSD6-V4-680 (LED Accessory Lamp)
K49C-V7-790 (Mounting Harness)
BAEK-66-122 - Blinker Stalk unit with Fog light F/R

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can be. I just need to confirm the writing in the harness is there. Anyone?

I would not expect there is a wiring harness for foglights as they are not offered as of 2022 as far as I know. It would all be aftermarket.

Those aren't fogs. More like accent lights. For rear fogs you can go with something like this KF CX-5 純正加工LEDリフレクター MZ11-40 [2021/12MC以降専用]

I checked the harness leading to that point; unfortunately, it is missing wires. Mazda retrofits are very obscure, to say the least, and documentation does not exist that can help you with these projects.

As far as I know, the 2022 CX-5 usually comes with the fog light wiring system installed, both front and rear. Or am I confusing it with something else?

up to 2021 - yes. 2022- models dont have fog lights anymore. For some reason Mazda decided not to add them on any trim.
For rear - they prob have it for the other markets as in Europe rear are mandatory.

I'm SO glad Mazda removed them. They are useless for real fog and only get used by wannabees. The glare is so annoying when approaching a car with them on, on wet roads.

I had fogs on my 2020 and found them to be useless.

with the advanced led headlights nowadays they are not useful anymore.
