2021 CX5 Bose System - Driver Door speaker blew out!

Hey guys, maybe you can point me in the right direction.

I have a 2021 CX-5 Carbon edition, and recently I blew out my driver door speaker.

I went to get it replaced over the weekend and these guys just put in whatever stock speakers, the replacement speakers are NOT the same.

I called them and told them they didn't do what I asked, so they said if I go and purchase the OEM speakers I want, they put them in free of charge.

Where can I buy a pair of OEM Bose speakers for the front doors (yes they swapped out both).

Need this ordeal to be over lol, they cut the balls off my sound system, I would rather have driven with a blown out speaker than have to listen to these weak ass speakers.

The OEM Bose speakers can be purchased directly from the dealer.

Alternatively, you can ask the dealer to give you the part numbers for the door speakers in question, then search for those part numbers on auction sites like eBay or online Mazda parts dealers like this one. Note that the linked part is listed as a "Windshield Pillar Speaker" but I think they use the same speaker in the door. You can confirm with the dealer.

Just a heads up for anyone else experiencing a similar issue with the OEM Bose speakers. Do a search & you will see that this is a recurring issue/design flaw caused by water getting into the doors & causing corrosion where the speaker cone attaches to the metal support ring resulting in separation & varying degrees of speaker buzzing depending on how bad the separation is. There are numerous how to videos online showing how to repair the speakers on many Mazda models which have the OEM Bose speakers.

My son experienced this on his 2016 Mazda 3 & yes the OEM Bose speakers are stupid expensive for what they are. Following one of the videos I repaired his front speakers & saved him several hundred dollars. I did his repairs several years ago & the repairs held up fine. He just traded the Mazda 3 on a 2025 CX-70. Fortunately the Bose speakers in my 2019 CX-5 GTR haven't experienced the same problem but if they do I will attempt the repairs before replacing the speakers.
