2017 CX-5 AC / Heat issue?

When i turn the air on auto it as has the defroster in the front go on. Does that happen for anyone else?

Also It seems like the air is not cold when it is at 67 degrees it is still warm air.

Any thoughts would be helpful.

When the HVAC system is in auto mode, depending on conditions, it will start out in defrost then typically (if cold out) switch to floor/defrost, then eventually floor. If it's hot outside , the airflow will come out the vents.

As far as warm air when set to 67 degrees, it depends what the current cabin temperature is. The auto mode is going to make it 67 degrees in the cabin so if it's 45°, it's going to be warm air coming out of the vents and conversely if it's 85° in the cabin, cold air will come out of the vents.
