2016 Fog lights

I'm trying to figure out if something is wrong with the new CX-9. I got the fog lights to turn on once that I noticed, but now I can't get them to go on no matter what I do. I put the head light switch in every position and try the fog light switch and nothing. I've messed with the settings for headlights and can't get them on. Figure I would ask before taking it in for service. It's a 2016 GT if it matters. Thanks in advance.

No trick to it on my GT.

Headlights (not just parking lights) "on" or "auto" when dark enough for the headlights to be on.
Fog light switch rotated to the "on" position.

Here's the kicker ... I just tested mine, and the fogs don't work with the engine off, but turn on once the engine is running. (cabpatch)

Solarspecialist, sounds like a blown fuse, have you checked the fuse box for the foglights.

It's located in the engine fuse block (fuse #36)

Correct in my U.S. spec vehicle.

I confirm this. This must be some type of Eco feature. Why you want fog light if your car is stopped?. It's a led fog light, but anyway, i't very powerful high end led light, so is draining energy from the battery. The SUV just shut off the fog light if engine is stopped.
