2016 CX-9 Oil Analysis

:
2016 Mazda CX-9 GT
So I decided to send off my oil for analysis just for kicks. The CX-9 has 87,000 miles on it and it's the first time I have done this for this vehicle. Everything looks good. Wanted to just show others what to expect.

Aluminum down to tin are wear metals. These are very low. The rest are components in the essential oil additives and will vary according to the brand of oil used. Silicon can be either the anti-foam additive in the oil or dirt from the air filter, but this is very low, so no dirt. The two viscosity measures are different systems that measure about the same thing, and I don't know why they use the old U.S. Saybolt Universal Seconds. Insolubles would be carbon in the oil, and again, very low. Excellent report.

Low flashpoint and lowish viscosity could be a sign of fuel dillution of bit more than 1% that they guestimate. But it's good to see there is no impact at this mileage.
