2016 CX-9 GT Battery and Brake issue?

At 24K, new battery, but should have it changed even earlier; at the end lasts only two days without driving and will not start. No leaks, normal in-range drain approx. 30mA;

26K - new rear disks and pads; Disappointed.

4 years for a battery isn't great, but if you're in a hot region not too awful. Mileage doesn't matter. The number of starts does matter. That said, the battery on my 2016 is doing fine. The higher CCA (cold cranking amps) you get on the replacement, the longer that replacement will last you. A recent "Consumer Reports" rated the better Walmart battery as the best they tested for our size, Group 35.

My brake pads are fine at 40,000 miles. It's all about one's driving style and the honesty of the repair shop. I'm OK wearing the pads down to about 4 mm of remaining friction material. I'm OK reusing the discs unless they're moderately grooved or thinned.

IL is not too hot; my previous vehicle (rx330) lasted 7 years with the original battery. My wife's car, putting about 6K miles a year. It's just a crappy quality all around. Next to deal with Mazda's TSB 04-004!
The rear brakes are done. I will post a picture to show the damage. I just did not expect this from Mazda's most expensive model. For example, rear brake pads are worn not evenly. The inner one has twice as less material left then the outer pad. The rotors look terrible, had to replace them. And my wife's driving style is normal..
