2016 CX-5 Brake issues...Any thoughts?

Over the last year and a bit i have had my front brakes and rotors done, and my drivers front wheel bearing done. When I first start driving I don't have any issues, say 20 mins, but after that I can hear my brakes rubbing like they are catching. It's intermittent . I have taken it to a mechanic and they seem to think it maybe the calipers due to temperature. I'm in ontario canada and the heat has been hot in the day and cool at night. i have noticed when i leave in the early am of leaving for work that i dont hear anything. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I get that occasionally, like a rubbing noise when rubber is against metal kind of thing. Don't know if it's the same that you're hearing. I only hear it when coming to a complete stop. Maybe due to the high heat and humidity (only hear it on really humid days). I've had it apart and it's free when it's supposed to be. I'm going to chalk it up to the crappy Wagner brake pads I put on last year, never did it before.

Op's title says 2016.
Maybe it's the nefarious sticking calipers.
Somehow I missed the “2016” in the title.

Yes, that’s the typical rear brake dragging symptom from rear brake calipers with EPB due to inaccurate precision during the manufacturing process. OP needs to get the updated version of OEM rear calipers to fix the problem and they’re only available at Mazda dealers.

TSB No. 04-001/18: Noise from Rear Brakes Due to Brake Dragging

There’s no such calipers available from aftermarket.

I missed it that he said it was the rear rotors, yep, dragging
