2016.5 Mazda CX-5 NR:Dashcam that can be powered by USB

the front is easy. just add a switched circuit using an add-a-fuse in the driver side footwell fusebox and run the wire up and around the trim. i posted a howto a couple years ago on it.

its the rear that is harder, since the 12v plug back there is always on. there is a $20 relay box that works on input voltage ranges that ive been using but its finnicky

Hoping someone can help me identify which of these plugs my invisicord cables are supposed to be plugged into. The black one in the picture posted to this thread does not look exactly like either of the two I find available in my 2014 GT w/Tech Pkg.

The green plugs into a socket labeled lidar or laser or something; seems like the SmartCity braking system. Is it the white plug then? it only has four slots across, rather than five like in the pictures and diagram here. Would appreciate some guidance. Trying to get a dashcam plugged in using the Invisicord...
your invisicord goes into the plug on the back of your rear view mirror, which is visible (and sort of accessible) with the cover installed, provided you have auto dimming mirror (or features requires/sends power to your rear view mirror)

Well, I don't know how I missed that. I guess I didn't think the mirror would have a removable plug for some reason. That solved it. Thanks Cloudland!
