2014 Catalytic converter.

Having a hard time wrapping my head around the idea that the Mazda dealership needs to replace the Catalytic converter on my 2014 CX-5 bought new.

How can this be possible?

Under warranty with 43,000k but a $3000.00 job sort of scarry

Yup. Anything emissions related is covered for 8 years/80,000 miles. This includes many (if not most) check engine light type problems.
